ENTER : DIDACTIC HEMATOLOGY ATLAS

This “Didactic Hematology-Atlas ” aims at supplying medical students, laboratory technicians, residents, and practioners with a compact tool for classifying cellular materials in blood, bone marrow and body fluids in daily practice.

It contains guidelines for microscopic analysis of blood, bone marrow, and body fluids, as well as examples of pictorial material, including brief descriptions highlighting the cellular particularities, look-alikes, and differential diagnosis. Denomination of the cells/abormalities is by UZ Leuven – Laboratoriumgeneeskunde based on international literature and internal consensus.

All slides are air-dried and May-Grünwald-Giemsa stained. Magnification used is 10x10, 10x20, 10x50, and 10x100. The microphotographs of the cells are not electronically edited.
